Project complete: Makoha Rest Home, Matua
We’ve officially handed over the upgrade and extension at Makoha Rest Home in Matua, Tauranga.
The project included:
▪️ A new purpose-built 8-bed care wing, designed for accessibility and resident comfort
▪️ An upgrade of the facility’s communal and operational spaces, keeping the home-like character of the existing building
▪️ Delivery on a live site, with the rest home operating as normal throughout
Working in a 24/7 aged-care environment means planning every stage around residents’ routines and clinical operations, with strict safety controls in place from start to finish. The result is more capacity and better facilities for Makoha, delivered with minimal disruption to the people who live and work there.
