The MASS 2 building at Toi Ohomai Institute of Technology began with the challenge of an exceeded budget. Marra Construction worked closely with the client, design consultants, and subcontractors to develop value-engineered solutions that brought the project within reach. The build included major groundworks and was paused early on due to significant archaeological discoveries. Marra collaborated with local iwi and Heritage New Zealand to ensure these were handled respectfully, while keeping the project moving. The result is a three-storey, multi-use learning facility delivered with care, flexibility, and strong stakeholder engagement.
